State Assemblyman Pedro Nava Endorses Tim Allison for Congress, District 24
The Tim Allison for Congress Campaign is pleased to announce the endorsement of California State Assembly Member, Pedro Nava.Pedro Nava has a long history of public service which has continued during his tenure as a State Assembly Member where he has demonstrated his long-standing commitment to public safety, emergency preparedness and environmental protection. Before arriving in Sacramento, Nava was a Deputy District Attorney in Fresno and later, a prosecutor in Santa Barbara, where he worked in the Consumer Business Law Section. As a state lawmaker he has authored bills to protect victims’ rights. He is currently a candidate for State Attorney General.
“For eight years, Pedro Nava served on the California Coastal Commission and has, since his 2004 election to the Assembly, introduced important legislation to protect the environment. His work on issues key to citizens in Assembly District 35 and the state as a whole and has succeeded in making significant changes in the way we protect both our communities and our environment,” notes Tim Allison, “I am grateful for his support as I seek election to the United States Congress.”
Tim Allison, of Ventura, CA, is a successful small businessman and has been extensively involved in the community. Allison coordinated a local Obama campaign effort and was an Obama Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Denver. As a successful real estate broker in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties for the past six years, Tim knows the challenges families face in buying and keeping their homes. Tim is also a past political director for SEIU Local 620. Further, he managed a successful ballot measure campaign which dedicates over $2 million annually to cleaning up ocean and creek pollution. He is a director for the non-profit Legal Aid Foundation.
Tim Allison has a bachelors degree in Economics and a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. He is married to Vickie Allison and has a six year old son.
