SANTA BARBARA ELECTED OFFICIALS ENDORSE TIM ALLISON FOR CONGRESS

VENTURA, CA, February 1, 2010 The Tim Allison for Congress campaign is proud to announce the endorsement of current and former elected officials in Santa Barbara County.  Joining the growing list of supporters are Assemblyman Pedro Nava, Supervisor Salud Carbajal, Supervisor Janet Wolf, Supervisor Doreen Farr, former Supervisor Naomi Schwartz, Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider, Santa Barbara city council members Grant House and Bendy White, former Mayor Marty Blum, Goleta councilman and former Mayor Roger Aceves, Goleta Councilman Ed Easton and former Supervisors Susan Rose and Gail
Marshall.

"I have known Tim Allison for many years.  He is a business person and an advocate for creating jobs, improving education and protecting our environment.  We need him in Congress and I whole-heartedly support his candidacy," stated Mayor Schneider.

Councilman Grant House says “I have no hesitation in supporting Tim’s campaign for Congress.  He represents all of the sectors of our community.  He is a business-person and has also been very involved with non-profit organizations. Our economy and community needs someone in Congress with Tim’s experience.”

The Santa Barbara elected officials join a quickly growing list of leaders supporting Tim Allison’s candidacy. Last week the Laborers International Union of North America endorsed the candidate. Tim has now received hundreds of endorsements from community and Democratic Party leaders. His endorsements come from all parts of the geographically diverse Twenty Fourth Congressional District.

With the addition of these most recent endorsements, Allison continues to develop a strong infrastructure of activist leaders and community leaders from within the district.

“This campaign is being built by grassroots community leaders and it is the reason why we will win.” stated Tim Allison. “As congressman, I will work hard to grow our local economy, advance our children’s educational experience, and put our people back to work.”
