Tim Challenges Gallegly to Debate; Elton Charges Constituents to Ask Questions

Incumbent Rep. Elton Gallegly spent Sunday afternoon entertaining at a $90-a-head fundraiser, an event that he promoted as an opportunity for the public to “ask any questions you may have” of their representative.

Allison’s campaign, however, will be calling on Representative Gallegly to join him in a series of public debates—at no charge. “Voters deserve to see their candidates out in public, speaking clearly on the issues. Let’s shine a bright light on our differences,” said Allison, the Democratic nominee for the 24th Congressional District.

Tim Allison takes the title “Representative” to heart. Allison has already reached out to the district, holding his first town hall earlier this year, during the primary. “I’ve been traveling around the 24th district for the past few months, listening to voters and hearing their concerns,” Allison said. “At every stop I hear the same thing: no one sees Elton Gallegly. He’s become an out-of-touch Washington politician, deaf to the families and seniors he represents.”
